Welcome to Ashfield House Bed and Breakfast, Arrochar



A warm and friendly welcome awaits all our guests at Ashfield House Bed and Breakfast, a delightful country retreat in the picturesque village of Arrochar. Wonderfully situated at the head of Loch Long in the heart of the Arrochar Alps, Ashfield House boasts spectacular uninterrupted views of both the sea loch and the magnificent mountains, including the famous ‘Cobbler’. This traditional house, built in 1812, offers all modern facilities with en suite bedrooms. All rooms have TV /DVD, tea and coffee making facilities. Guests have their own wing of the house and a separate entrance.

The House sits well back among large private gardens, popular with local deer, which are surrounded by mature forest. There is ample private parking for our guests as well as a large secure bothy providing dry storage for bicycles / sports equipment. Guests have their own sitting room where they can relax in comfortable seating, listen to a selection of music or read from our extensive library while enjoying a complementary wee glass of sherry. We also have a variety of board games and a wide selection of tourist information and maps to assist in planning your well earned break. Detailed information and advice on climbing and walking in the area can be provided. 

Packed lunches can be provided on request. Breakfast is served at your own table in the Dining Room.

Arrochar is only 5 minutes from the beautiful ‘Bonny Banks’ of Loch Lomond and 50 minutes from Glasgow Airport while Edinburgh, Glasgow, the Highlands and the Inner Hebridean Islands are all within easy reach. Arrochar is in the heart of Scotland’s first National Park with ample visitor opportunities for sightseeing, sports and recreation. Ashfield House is an ideal base for many outdoor activities which include loch cruises, golf, fishing, canoeing, mountain biking and particularly all levels of hill walking.

We have over the years welcomed guests from all over the world and as we speak French and Spanish we are privileged to have many visitors from Europe.
